The Mayor
Mayor Anne Lindboe
Anne Lindboe (H) was born in Sarpsborg in 1971 and grew up in the Municipality of Re in the county of Vestfold. She has three children and lives in the Nordre Aker District in Oslo.
Mayor Lindboe studied medicine at the University of Oslo and specialized in pediatrics. She also studied French for a year at the same university. In addition, Lindboe has an MBA in strategic management from NHH Norwegian School of Economics.
She has been a Senior Consultant Pediatrician at The Children’s House (Statens barnehus) and has conducted research at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.
In 2012, Lindboe was appointed Ombudsperson for Children. She was the director of the National Association of Private Kindergartens from 2018 to 2022.
Lindboe was elected Mayor of Oslo by the City Council on 25 October 2023.
The Mayor wants Oslo to be a city that helps all children realize their dreams.
