Biography Hallstein Bjercke

Bjercke has been a Member of the City Council since 2015. He has been group leader of the Norwegian Liberal Party’s City Council Group since 2018, and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Transport and Environmental Affairs and the Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs. He was Vice Mayor of Culture and Business Development in Oslo between 2011 and 2015.

Bjercke was previously Deputy Chair of Civita, Director of Government Relations at IKT-Norge and Director of Strategy and Communication in the Norwegian Armed Forces’ Logistics Organisation. He has a master’s in economics and business administration from BI Norwegian Business School.

Hallstein Bjercke was born in 1977 and grew up in Eidsvoll. He currently lives in Østensjø in Oslo.
